Abstract

Measures of adolescents’ individual religiosity are associated with decreased involvement in sexual behaviors. However, it is unclear whether this association is due to assortive pairing of individuals with similar religiosity, or whether one partner’s religiosity is sufficient to influence a dyadic behavior such as sex. The goal of this study is to assess if romantic partners religiosity influences the sexual behavior that occurs in an adolescent dating relationship.
