Abstract

Trivalent dysprosium ions co-doped NaYF4 up-conversion luminescence nanoparticles were synthesized. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),infrared spectrometer(FT-IR) and fluorescence(FL) spectrum. The effect of annealing temperature and the concentration of Dy3+ co-doping on the crystal structure, morphology and luminescence properties were investigated. The absorption spectra shows that the absorption peak band centered at 776 nm corresponds to 6H15/2→6F5/2 transition of Dy3+ ion.Under 776 nm excitation, the NaYF4∶Dy3+can emit strong green and blue emission. The blue emitting light results from the transition of 4F9/2→6H15/2 of Dy3+,green emitting light is from the transition of 4F9/2→ 6H13/2 of Dy3+.XRD analyses show that the UCNPs are pure cubic phase NaYF4 nanocrystals.
