Abstract
The DWBA pair production cross section calculation for the intermediate energy photons (5.0–10.0 MeV) are not available. At present the pair production cross section for the intermediate energy range is obtained by interpolating the available low energy DWBA results and the high energy approximate results. We present in this paper the DWBA calculation of the pair production cross section for Z = 92 and for 10.0 MeV photons by using a new technique to evaluate the accurate radial integrals developed by the authors. We also present the interpolated pair production cross section for different Z values for 10.0 MeV photons and compare it with the existing interpolations.
