Abstract

The apparent inconsistency and failure of DWBA analyses applied to (d,d') angular distribution data for the 3.12 MeV state of 60Ni, measured at E d = 11.5 MeV and 14.8 MeV, are explained by (t, p) measurements which suggest that the state is a 2 +, 4 + doublet.
