Abstract

We carried out a visual and parametric search for new dwarf galaxy candidates in a small sample of nearby loose groups of galaxies. A follow-up redshift determination has shown a ∼45% success rate for our morphological classification scheme. We determined the photometric characteristics of the new dwarf members of the studied groups. Here, we compare the photometric scaling relations of the late-type dwarfs in the field, group and cluster environments. The data do not provide clear evidence for a relation between galaxy structure and environment but some hints for a colour-environment dependency.
