Abstract

The Dutch Houses of Parliament has begun the implementation of a multi-application smart card solution for its staff and visitors. In the first phase of the project the cards will be used for access control and visual identification, but in the latter stages, the Dutch Parliament will activate additional functionality, such as electronic payment, PC log-on and public key infrastructure (PKI).
