Abstract

In this research, the properties of dust- ion-acoustic (DIA) solitons in an unmagnetized dusty plasma, whose constituents are inertial ions, superthermal electrons, and stationary dust particles, are studied by using the Pseudopotential method. As an important result it is shown that DIA solitons are accepted beyond a certain critical value of the electron-to-ion density ratio (μ) as well as the superthermal parameter of electrons. We show that Mach permissible numbers shift to lower values in supethermal dusty plasmas. The results of this study help to gain a better understanding of the dust-ion wave behavior propagated in various spaces such as the Earth's atmosphere, Venus ionosphere and solar winds.
