Abstract

We have mapped the dwarf galaxy NGC 1569 at 1.2 mm with the MPIfR bolometer at the IRAM30m telescope. The total flux density allows us, together with the IRAS fluxes densities at 12, 25, 60and 100 μm, to draw conclusions about the dust properties and to estimate the total dust mass. We find strong evidence for a significant enhancement of very small grains and a depletion of PAHs.
