Abstract

At least 4 hours (hrs) of intrapartum ampicillin (amp) is recommended in patients colonized by Group B Streptococcus (GBS) to prevent early-onset GBS sepsis. However, shorter durations are known to have some protective effect. We compared neonatal outcomes based on the duration of intrapartum amp prophylaxis in the current era of neonatal care in a single center.
