Abstract
A method for determining the destruction rate of an adhesive material using folding and assembly models of catastrophe theory is proposed. The energy of the system taking into account dissipation is used as the output parameter. The destruction mechanism is considered and examples that illustrate the practical application of the presented technique are given.
