In Reply .—Meadow and Valman's letter arrived after we had made an independent determination that duplication had occurred between the AJDC article to which they refer and another, not in their journal (see below). We sincerely apologize for inadvertently infringing on the copyright of the Archives of Disease in Childhood , but we did so without being aware of the prior publication.
