Abstract
The channel responses correlation coefficient as the duplicate channel allocation criterion for the null-forming based space division multiple access (SDMA) is proposed. The performance is studied with respect to the bit-error-rate (BER). We also discuss the performance degradation in the presence of the mutual coupling among antenna array elements. In a moderate noise environment, (Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR)=20 dB, Signal-to-Interference (SIR)=0 dB), the threshold for duplicate channel allocation with BER<0.01 is 0.8635 in the presence of mutual coupling.
