Abstract

It has been established by means of an anatomical research of 57 autopsied specimens of fetuses and newborns and 12 organocomplexes that the duodenum is supplied by nine arteries, particularly, its superior part – by the right gastric and the gastroomental arteries as well as the branches of the gastroduodenal artery; the descending and the lower parts – by the branches of the superior and inferior pancreaticoduodenal arteries; the ascending part – by the branches of the superior mesenteric artery.
