Abstract

Abstract A simple dual-wavelength single longitudinal mode (DW SLM) fiber laser for microwave generation is proposed and demonstrated. Simultaneous oscillation of dual-wavelength with a wavelength spacing of 0.2124 nm is realized, the output peak power of the lasing dual-wavelength is equalized by adjusting polarization controller at room temperature. Birefringent fiber filter and saturable absorber are utilized to guarantee the SLM operation of dual-wavelength fiber laser. A microwave signal at 26.49 GHz is successfully obtained in the experiment, the laser is proved to be effective in the application of microwave generation.
