Abstract

A 1.56 μm dual-wavelength DFB laser with a frequency spacing of 0.64 THz was demonstrated based on sidewall grating and reconstruction equivalent-chirp technology. The lasing wavelength spacing can be controlled to an accuracy of 830 MHz by changing the sampling periods on each sidewall grating.
