Abstract

AbstractWe propose a dual‐view integral imaging display based on point light sources. The proposed dual‐view integral imaging display is composed of an organic light‐emitting diode and a liquid crystal panel. The point light sources are displayed on the organic light‐emitting diode. The elemental images 1 and 2, which are captured from three‐dimensional scenes 1 and 2, are alternatively aligned on the liquid crystal panel in the horizontal direction. Two adjacent elemental images 1 and 2 are coupled and corresponded to one point light source. The coupled elemental images 1 and 2 are illuminated by the corresponding point light source. It satisfies the practical applications that the viewing zones are respectively located at the left and right of the proposed dual‐view integral imaging display. A prototype of the proposed dual‐view integral imaging display is developed, and good verifying results are obtained.
