Abstract

A novel design strategy of dual-polarized filtering antenna with high selectivity is presented in this paper. The proposed dual-polarized antenna is composed of a square patch antenna, two pairs of parallel coupled-line resonators and two short-circuited coupled line structures. Transmission zeros beside the passband can be introduced by loading the short-circuited coupled line structure at the feeding lines of proposed antenna. The presented design has a better frequency selectivity and out-of-band rejection. The antenna with a center frequency of 5.84 GHz and fractional bandwidth of 6.16% is designed. The simulated results validate the excellent features of the design.
