Abstract

This paper presents a LTCC-based antenna-in-package (AiP) design consisting of broadside and end-fire column antenna arrays. The AiP has a wide bandwidth ratio and high isolation to produce dual polarized radiations in both the end-fire and broadside directions at 28GHz. The end-fire antenna consists of a pair of stripe-line dipole and a ME dipole with a simple and compact structure for a dual-polarization radiation. On the other hand, we utilize a slot-coupled stacked patch antenna with two probes as a dual-polarization broadside antenna. The prototype is measured to show good isolation lower than -25 dB from 26.5 to 29.5 GHz and have a good agreement with full-wave simulations.
