Abstract
Terahertz electromagnetic wave is currently used in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging because of its high frequency and short wavelength. Although airborne terahertz SAR has many advantages such as high imaging resolution, the phase of echo signal is very sensitive to the vibration of radar platform. So, it is necessary to estimate and compensate the vibration phase error. In this paper, the influence of platform vibration on the echo signal is analyzed, which shows the necessity of vibration compensation. Then a dual-channel vibration estimation and compensation method, which was developed for airborne lidar, is introduced and applied to compensate high frequency vibration of airborne terahertz SAR. The simulation results of point target imaging experiment verify the effectiveness of the method.
