Abstract

This paper proposes a new type of dual-band four-arm helical antenna. The bands used in this research are 1.575 GHz and 2.4 GHz. The band of 1.575 GHz is for GPS, and the band of 2.4 GHz is for WLAN. The helical antenna be made of four metal arms with a phase difference of 90° and good electrical conductivity. Here we proposes that the phase difference of 90 ° causes the circular polarization by the network analyzer. In the past, the helical antennas are for a single band. The characteristics of the helical antenna in this paper, are dual bands and circular polarization. In the future, design the feeding network to achieve the propose of adjustable left-hand circular polarization and right-hand circular polarization.
