Abstract

A dual-band broadside linear slot antenna array with corporate-series-feed based on composite right-/left-handed (CRLH) microstrip line (MSL) sections is proposed. It consists of dual-band slot antenna elements, a T-junction, and two CRLH MSL sections. The antenna element is modified from [4]. The design formulas for the CRLH MSL section at the two desired frequencies are given. For verification, a 2.6-/3.5-GHz dual-band prototype array is fabricated and tested. The simulated and measured results agree well. The broadside pattern with relatively low side-lobe and cross-polarization levels is obtained at both frequencies.
