Abstract

To provide new insights in the way of the potential interaction between biological small molecules, it is essential to develop molecular tools that are capable of tracking two related biomolecules at the cellular level. Therefore, we successfully designed and synthesized a novel dual-site turn on fluorescent probe that could simultaneously detect fluctuations of H2S and ATP concentrations in two separate fluorescence channels without spectral crosstalk. Taking advantage of fluorescence imaging technology, we visualized the dynamic changes of ATP levels under the stimulation of exogenous hydrogen sulfide and cysteine. We anticipate that NT-RD can be used to further investigate the relationship between H2S and ATP in the processes of inhibiting or stimulating tumor growth.
