Abstract

It is commonly thought that arthroscopic posterior shoulder stabilization is technically easier to perform in the lateral decubitus position because of improved visualization obtained by traction on the operative arm. Herein, we describe our technique for arthroscopic posterior stabilization in the beach chair position using dual posterior cannulas. The key facets of this technique include safe attainment of beach chair position, visualization and mobilization of the posterior labrum, proper localization and placement of dual posterior cannulas, and secure fixation of the capsulolabral complex using suture anchors.
