Abstract

A dual simultaneous photometric-conductometric detector for microfluidic chip is reported. Two different detect methods confocal LIF and moveable C 4D were combined together. They shared a common detection cell and could respond simultaneously. The dual detector offered possibility of measurement one analyte in two different ways and was advantageous in analyses of mixtures containing organic and inorganic ions. To improve the separation efficiency, pinch injection was carried out by a series of electrokinetic manipulations. Rhodamine B was used to evaluate the performance of the dual detector. The dual detector had highly sensitivity and could offer simultaneous information. © 2009 SPIE.
