Abstract

In underlay cognitive radio (CR), secondary user (SU) are allowed to transmit simultaneously with primary user (PU) and must control transmission power to keep the aggregate interference still below PU's threshold, therefore, in underlay CR, SU will use lower transmission power than PU. However, the use of lower transmission power and interference due to PU and others SU cause SU performance decrease. To improve the system performance and eliminate the interference effect, the interference mitigation technique is used. In this paper we propose dual list interference cancellation (DLIC) as one of interference cancellation techniques to overcomes interference both on SU and PU. From the simulation, DLIC can improve SU system performance.
