Abstract
In this paper, an ultra-wideband (UWB) monopole antenna preventing interference from worldwide interoperability for microwave access (WiMAX), C-band, and wireless local area network (WLAN) systems is presented. The proposed antenna has an octagonal radiating patch with an H-shaped slot embedded. The required dual band-rejected properties can be simply obtained by adjusting the parameters of the H-shaped slot. Details of the experimental results of the constructed prototypes are discussed. Keywords—monopole; ultra-wideband; WiMAX; C-band; WLAN
