Abstract

Composite Right/Left handed Transmission Lines (CRLH TL) generally exhibit as metamaterials based transmission line which is composed of periodic repetition of unit cell comprising of a series capacitance and shunt inductance. Metamaterials generally have a wide range of applications. The paper aims at developing a CRLH TL two unit cell structure to work as dual band filter. To get a better understanding the scattering parameters of this structure are also investigated. The design implementation of the structure is done with the help of the EM simulation tool. Later the transmission line structure is fabricated and tested with the help of a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and the measured results are compared with the simulated results by the addition of air gap in the simulation result to validate the shift in frequency of the experimentally observed results.
