Abstract
This report presents a dual band circular ring metamaterial absorber working at 9 GHz and 11 GHz for dualband application. The structure is designed using lossy FR4 substrate with thin copper layers. The circular ring shape, which is copper metal, is printed on the top surface of FR4 substrate while at the bottom surface is full copper ground plane. From the simulation, the dual band circular ring metamaterial absorber proved to work at wide incident angle which is more than 60 0 that maintain good absorbance, which is more than 60% for both TE and TM polarization incident waves. The shape of the ring is symmetrical which makes this absorbance insensitive to any polarization state.
