Abstract

Our work focuses on the modeling and simulation of discreet events applied to the context of the validation of software architectures at a high level (the specifications level) of abstraction. We have developed a methodological appraoch callled the DSSV generic approach which meets these criteria. We have proceded to validate the method on an application in the field of telecommunications and also modeled a component of the CORBA architecture- the Portable Object Adapter. In addition to validating our approach this method allows for validate of dispersed software architectures before their actual physical implementation through the use of modeling and simulation at the level of specifications.
