Abstract

The efficiency of technology transfer (TT) actions significantly depends on the potential users' attitude towards the research offer, in terms of their understanding, acceptance and active assimilation. In the context of an ever increasing attention paid to human factors in manufacturing systems engineering, the culture transfer process is identified as being the main way to influencing this attitude in user oriented evolution of TT. For DSS, aiming to stimulate the users' creativity in decision making, these aspects are of particular interest. The paper starts with a short presentation of main specific services and expected benefits of culture transfer, Then, based on the authors' experience in the field of DSS for operational production control, solutions to facilitate the transfer of both domain specific and IT specific knowledge and working styles, are reviewed in the remaining part of the paper.
