Abstract

Astract — This paper describes one solution for an implementation of the surround speaker virtualization module for digital signal processor in sound bar systems. The main problem in sound bar systems is complex audio processing execution in real-time. When the virtualization algorithm is executed on the embedded platform in real-time, it produces surround sound from the sound bar placed in front of the listener. The merits of the proposed architecture are fortified with the measured usage of the limited processor resources, and evaluation results confirm that real-time execution of the proposed solution is achieved.
