Abstract
The positon decay of 25A1 has been investigated via the 24Mg (d, n) reaction at E d = 4 MeV. The measured half-life T 1 2 = 7.23 ±0.02 s for the 25A1 decay, is in good agreement with the reported average value. The measured branching of the transition feeding the 1611.5 ±0.2 keV third excited state of 25Mg, (0.84±0.07%), which implies log ft = 4.32±0.04, is in good agreement with collective model predictions.
