Abstract

Abstract A number of small-scale methods have been used to determine the safe drying temperature, on a 2 tonne scale, of an organic powder. Predictions of the temperature for which the Time to Maximum Rate (TMR) is 100 hours are used to compare the results. The predicted temperatures range from 50°C to 120°C raising the issue of taking the result from a single test method in isolation.
