Abstract

Passive air samplers were used to measure atmospheric contamination of polychlorinated biphenyls. Samples of increasing exposure periods gave good temporal correlation and in a contaminated atmosphere the candle absorption responded well. Predicted atmospheric concentrations from mass flux calculations of particles with a radius of 5μm were in good agreement with measured values.
