Abstract A method is described using the cross-linked dextran gel, Sephadex, for the study of drug binding. Although not quantitative in terms of per cent bound, this method gives an indication of the comparative strength of binding. The usefulness of this method in the separation of compounds with different plasma binding characteristics is suggested.
