Abstract

Drug-Loaded Mucoadhesive Patch In article number 2100203, Sukho Park and co-workers demostrate a drug-loaded patch equipped in wireless capsule, which is delivered to the gastrointestinal tract rapidly and accurately by an external magnetic field. The patch has excellent mucoadhesive properties even in a wet gastrointestinal environment. Since magnetic nanoparticles and doxorubicin are also loaded in the patch, it generates heat under an external alternating magnetic field and treats cancer cells through hyperthermia and drug release promotion.
