Abstract

Digital radio mondiale (DRM) is a high-quality digital radio format for short-wave, medium-wave, and long-wave digital radio for the radio frequencies below 30 MHz. DRM's universality and openly standardized status (endorsed by ITU as ETS ES 201) has currently brought its increasing popularity in many countries across the globe. This article discusses the features, advantages, and the future of DRM in markets worldwide.
