Abstract
Within a Magnet®-designated academic medical center, registered nurse (RN) satisfaction survey results demonstrated opportunities to further enhance decision-making. The aim of this initiative was to improve RN satisfaction through the implementation and standardization of shared governance resources. Led by clinical nurses supporting the shared governance council, innovative tools were implemented and disseminated through a multimodal communication approach across the department of nursing. Significant improvements in RN satisfaction were noted as a result of the targeted interventions. This initiative highlighted the need for standardized resources to grow and support shared governance throughout the organization.
