Abstract
The PXIe bus is widely used in high-speed, high-bandwidth situations. To achieve the operation of PXIe bus device under the host computer control, the device driver is required necessarily. The device driver runs in the kernel of the operating system and is responsible for communication between the user application and the hardware. DMA is a high-efficiency transmission method for data transmission between external device and computer memory. The introduction of DMA data transmission mechanism will greatly improve the data transmission efficiency. Based on the DMA controller's logical design has been achieved in the external device, the computer can achieve the transmission with the PXIe device by device driver to set the DMA controller's functional register.
