Abstract

The nonequilibrium driven lattice gas with repulsive interactions is studied via dynamic mean-field theory. The resulting phase diagram for stationary states is in good agreement with recent simulation results of Leung, Schmittmann, and Zia [Phys. Rev. Lett. 62, 1772 (1989)]. Interesting new predictions for the current at first- and second-order phase transitions also emerge.
