Abstract

Abstract Drechslera teres was common in barley crops in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand in 1974–75 and 1975–76 and in barley seed samples. D. sorokiniana was frequently isolated from barley seeds and occasionally from oat seeds but it was not identified in the growing crops. D. graminea was not found in barley but was identified from a sample of ‘Kopara’ wheat. Other Drechslera spp. and other seed-borne pathogenic fungi are listed and discussed.
