Abstract
In Flanders the artistic education was a field of a lot of changes the past year. The reformation of the highschools by the Flemish Government with the new highschooldecree was one of the courses for this evolution. Especially the artistic schools were hitted by this decree. In this article we try to make an analysis of the specific problems of the Flemish theatreschools. After a description of the controversy about the Flemish theatreschools we will point out this artistic practice to the education in a second part of the article. A third part will treat the specific problems of the last highschooldecree in confrontation with the actorseducation. For the analysis we used the studies of de French sociologists Pierre Bourdieu (Les regies de 1’art), Raymonde Moulin (L’artiste, l’institution en le marché), the American sociologist Howard S. Becker (Art Worlds) and the educationsociologists Young and Whitty (Society, State and Schooling).
