Abstract

Four unusual buildings in South Euboia and a related structure on Mt. Hymettos in Attika are described and compared with similar constructions in the Halikarnassos Peninsula of Karia. At this point before their complete excavation, one may hypothesize that these buildings in Greece were constructed as storerooms and shrines by Karian quarry slaves during the late Hellenistic/early Roman period.
