Abstract

In this paper, the flow developed by the steady axisymmetric Stokes flow of couple stress fluid through a porous sphere is analyzed. Expressions for the velocity and couple stress tensor components are gotten as far as Macdonald functions and Gagenbauer’s polynomials. An analytical solution for the flow field as far as stream function is explored. The drag force experienced by a porous sphere due to the internal and external flow is determined. The impact on drag force for various parameters like couple stress parameter and viscosity are depicted graphically. Some special cases were likewise discussed.
