Abstract

Dr George Hubert Collins of Skaneateles, Emeritus Professor of Pathology at Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY, died on February 23, 2013 at his home after a short illness. Dr Collins was born in Albany, NY, on September 11, 1927. He spent most of his young life in Burlington, VT, receiving his baccalaureate degree from the University of Vermont and his MD from the College of Medicine. He spent 3 years at the University Hospitals gaining experience in medicine and neurology. His 2-year army assignment carried him abroad, first as general medical officer and then as a neurologist at the 5th General Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany.
