Abstract

Dr. Ambedkar’s ideas are neglected and unacknowledged in the feminist discourse despite the amazing impact they had on changing the lives of women and his contribution to the modern feminist movement. Dr. Ambedkar was a strong supporter of women’s social, political, and economic equality as well as a visionary of social justice and a proponent of an egalitarian society. By highlighting the connections between caste and gender inequality, his writings, talks, and other work offer a theoretical foundation for comprehending caste-based violence against women. In this essay, Dr. Ambedkar’s work is examined in an effort to understand his contribution to the conversation and from a feminist point of view. The feminist movement has, for the most part, disregarded the opinions of marginalized groups and depicted them as being part of the common culture without giving them enough room to express the variety of problems they face. Caste-based violence against women is on the rise in the modern era, and numerous academics and social organizations are attempting to expose the depths of prejudice that women experience as a result of their caste-based identity. In such a situation, Dr. Ambedkar’s thoughts are highly pertinent and should be emphasized as one of the powerful and complex arguments highlighting the plight of women who experience numerous forms of caste, class, and gender oppression.
