Abstract

Amy Paller, MD, MS is the Walter J. Hamlin Professor and Chair of the Department of Dermatology and Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. She also serves as Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded Skin Disease Research Center at Northwestern. Dr. Paller has directed the Pediatric Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit at Northwestern University/the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago for the past almost 25 years, and her major clinical interests are genetic skin disorders and pediatric inflammatory skin diseases. Her contributions include being the lead investigator on several landmark trials toward new therapies, discovering of the genetic basis for inherited skin disorders, uncovering biomarkers that define inflammatory skin disorders in children, and establishing and testing new tools for measuring patient-reported outcomes.
