Abstract
Preliminary findings are presented from three new services for young adult offenders with addictive behaviour problems. In the context of these innovative service developments, some initial barriers to effective service provision are identified. A specific focus is made on problems of collaboration between courts, alcohol/drug agencies and Probation Services. With limited preliminary findings from a process account of three feasibility studies, some promising directions for future services are identified. Some recommendations are given as strategies for more effective interagency co-operation.
