Abstract

We propose a new version of the Rayleigh-Schrödinger perturbation prescription suitable for tridiagonal zero-order Hamiltonians. It picks up an unusual model space and its unperturbed propagators remain easily invertible lower triangular matrices as a consequence. Its efficiency is illustrated on sextic potentials with double-well shape.
