Abstract

The intensity dependence of double ionization probability of helium in a strong laser field is investigated by using the multi-configuration time-dependent Hartree–Fock (MCTDHF) method. The results agree with the previous theoretical report by directly solving the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. The time evolution of electronic population on the ground state, electronic energy and dipole moment are also presented and discussed.
